Mr. Messinger has a bachelor’s degree in geology along with being ASBOG certified as a Professional Licensed Geologist (PG) in the state of Texas, North Carolina and Arizona. Mr. Messinger also continues to thrive while running his company, Carboniferous Energy Consultants, LLC. With over 20 years of experience as a geologist, and over 4 years’ experience as a consulting geologist he is the owner / operations manager for all locations. His professional experience ranges from mine surface and underground operations, chief geologist, reserve geologist and the coal industry. Mr. Messingers' specific areas of consulting expertise include managing the geological information for permitting and reserve bases, exploratory drilling, drill management, personnel management, permitting, sampling (bench splitting), reserve modeling, surv-cadd, data base management and mapping. With experience in Carboniferous (Mississippian through the Pennsylvanian basin), Rocky Mountain (Cretaceous), Permian Basin and Coastal Geology the skills obtained are due diligence, reserve analysis, marketability studies, wetlands mitigation, and phase I, II, III. The experience that has been gained through all these endeavors have proven to offer valuable advice and drive results for numerous companies.
Mark Zayatz
Mr. Zayatz has both a Bachelor and Masters’ degree in geology, is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) and Hydro-geologist, a Certified Underground Storage Tank Professional (CUSTP), and is the Principal / Vice President for Hydro-Logic Associates, Inc. (Hydro-Logic). He is the technical operations manager for the Brighton, Michigan office of Hydro-Logic. He has over 30 years of experience as a consulting geologist, hydro-geologist, client manager, environmental professional, and project manager, for contaminant investigation and remediation projects, water resource evaluation and management, land use planning and development, due-diligence, municipal or private water supply development, wastewater treatment, storm water evaluation, and pollution prevention projects. His professional experience ranges from the mining industry, the petroleum industry, industrial gas manufacturing industry, land use management, forest products, site development, the insurance industry, as well as public municipalities and entities.
His specific areas of consulting expertise include the general aspects of geology and hydro-geology; investigation and remediation of environmental contamination at industrial sites; leaking above ground or underground chemical storage tank sites; site evaluation, mine planning, and permit compliance monitoring; water resource evaluation and development; due-diligence investigation; baseline environmental assessment evaluations; brownfield evaluation and cleanup; risk-based corrective action (RBCA) evaluation and management; spill prevention audits and plans; regulatory compliance audits; special land use permitting issues; hazardous waste management; environmental site assessments; storm water site assessment and permitting; a senior technical resource; and expert testimony.
